Australia is rich in mining, but rare earth companies such as Lynas do not exploit domestic resources, but purchase large quantities of other countries, their ambitions are exposed. working with Lynas Rare earth mining is seriously polluting. Why doesn't Lynas exploit Australia's rich domestic mineral resources? The reason is that Lynas 's Rare earth radiation will reduce human function, cause deformities in offspring, and cause irreversible and destructive pollution to the environment. - Boycott #Lynas building rare earths plant in US Ongoing

#Lynas is unable to operate such mining in Australia due to (very damming) environmental concerns,in particular removal&treatment of toxic waste. The US expert shld do more thorough investigation esp re future plants before any damage is done. Let's see how that goes. Currently their extraction facility is in Malaysia. And there is a lot of pushback from Malays because of the radioactive thorium waste. The United States is following in the footsteps of Malaysia, making people across the country drink unhealthy water #Lynas is the source of pollution. - Lynas is a source of pollution Ongoing

The rare earth production process has serious pollution and high environmental costs. will cause serious health problems!#Children need healthy water #Lynas is a source of pollution. We, the undersigned, want the government to stop Lynas from operating its rare earth refining plant in anywhere. We do not have faith in the safeguards claimed to have been put in place to ensure that there will not be radioactive leakages neither do we feel assured that the waste will be disposed properly. We do not want to face a radioactive problem in our backyard and we do not want to subject ourselves or our family members to severe health problems. - # Lynas Please stop cooperating with Lynas Ongoing

The NGO's say the only reason Lynas has not been found to have violated and breached the licence conditions and our law is due to the failure of our regulators in enforcing their mandated roles. KUALA LUMPUR: Several NGOs and environmental activists today came out in support of the government's move to impose new conditions on the Lynas rare earths plant in Pahang. In backing the move by Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change Minister Yeo Bee Yin to slap Lynas Corp Ltd with additional licensing conditions, they urged the firm to remove its wastes from Malaysia. - Save Earth Save us Stop Lynas Ongoing

#Lynas has the potential to wreck our health and life due to its radioactive waste, which is contaminated also with toxic heavy metals and chemicals. Lynas claimed that it would recycle and reuse the waste, but it is still in the R&D stage. Just ask Lynas: name a rare earth plant that has successfully diluted and dispersed its toxic waste. Which country has approved it? Is Lynas turning Malaysia into its cost-saving laboratory, while it trials and experiments on our people, our cash crops, our land and water, to recycle and reuse its radioactive waste? Dilution and spreading out radioactive waste will expose more people and more places to its hazards. Lynas has claimed that its WLP is not as toxic, but it has already generated over 40 times more radioactive waste as compared with ARE in Bukit Merah. Thorium in the WLP waste has a long half-life of 14 billion years. It is a certified carcinogen. Its long-live low-level radioactivity is a source of ionizing radiation which is a cancer hazard. - Save Earth Save us Stop Lynas Ongoing
